Breast Cancer Statistics
Breast cancer is most common among women who are over the age of 50. Twelve of 1,000 women will get breast cancer between the ages of 50 and 55. Seventeen of 1,000 women will get breast cancer between the ages of 60 and 65. Men and younger women can also get breast cancer. However, their risk is significantly lower: Seven to eight cases per 100,000 individuals over a five-year period.
